Hot Dipped Gal. Wire, Zinc Coated Mild Steel Wire, with Min. Zinc Coating Quantity Requirements: Bundle Wire, Spool Wire and Coiled Wire

Hot dipped gal. wires Everbright supplies can be three types: bundle wire, spool wire and coil wire. Technical details as following. We introduce technical details and minimum zinc coating quantity for hot dipped wire made of carbon steel or mild steel. The hot dip treatment refers to the zinc coating is done under heat treatment of melt bath. Also known as thermal galvanizing.

Hot Dip Galvanizing Process
Hot Dip Galvanizing is also known as hot dip zinc plating or thermal zinc plating, is an effective metal corrosion protection method used primarily in metal wire or metal structures surface treatment. The rust-removed steel is immersed in a zinc solution melted at about 500 ° C, hence a zinc layer is formed and adhered to the surface of the steel items, by this way, corrosion resistance is achieved.

Process:
Finished wire or nets goes through acid washing – washing - adding assistant zinc coating fluid – drying – zinc coating – cooling – adhesion – cleaning – polishing – completing. Hot-dip galvanizing is developed from old method which has a history of 140 years since the year 1836 when HOT DIP Galvanizing is applied in industrial uses in France. Hot Dip Galvanizing industry has achieved large scale development with the rapid development of hot dip galvanized wires production for recent three decades.

ZinC Coating Amount

The amount of zinc coating is generally applied in the range of 30 g per square meter to 290 g per square meter, according to the requirements of the application environment. Since the products treated with the hot-dip galvanizing process have a long-lasting anti-corrosion service time, it is widely used in a variety of conditions and environments. The hot-dip galvanized iron wire is popularly used in manufacture of metal meshes & nets, ropes, cables, springs and fences, etc. Metal mesh can also be hot dip galvanized.
